Feedback
How many of you have had feedback that you have refrained from sharing with others in the past? Why was that the case?
Conflict
Conflict is necessary for your team to work effectively, otherwise we end up with unspoken ideas, unvoiced disagreements and simmering resentments. Teams that feel safe disagreeing outperform other teams.
Proactive approaches
- "Clear is kind. Unclear is Unkind" (Brené Brown)
- Focus on issues not people.
- Listening actively.
Engaging in conflict
If you are in a conflict your goal is to try and find a path forward:
- Understanding what is the conflict.
- Expressing your position in constructive ways.
- Clarify other positions.
- Remaining calm.
