Instructions

Remember you only need to complete two reflections over the term. There are six available.

While reading or after reading "Culturally Responsive Experiences (Chapter 5)" (Akpem, 2020) please highlight portions of the text that explain different cultural considerations when designing.

Once done highlighting, please:

1. Select one highlight from the reading.
2. Describe what you took away about design across cultures from the highlight.
3. Explain why this highlight may be connected to work you are completing for IAT-334 or another course. Use a specific example.

Submission

Your instructor will have a print-out for completing the reading reflection on in your June 26 lecture. You will need to provide a print-out of the reading. Reading reflections must be completed in the lecture time.

Grading

This reading reflection is worth 5% (5 points) of your final grade.

• 0.5 points for submitting your reading with highlights as requested.
• 0.5 points for clearly citing which one highlighted portion of the text you are referring to.
• 1.5 points for what you took away about design across cultures from the highlight.
• 1.5 points for clearly and concisely explaining why applying this highlight is connected to work you are completing for or another course.
• 1 point for providing a specific example when explaining why.

How reflections work

Just a reminder about how reflections work:

• You only need to complete two reflections over the term.
• There are six available.
• You may complete up to three reflections and the lowest grade will be dropped.
• AI use is not permitted in reflections.
