Instructions
Remember you only need to complete two reflections over the term. There are six available.
While reading or after reading "Our Own Bias (Chapter 4)" (Thomas, 2020) please highlight portions of the text that offer approaches to better understanding users.
Once done highlighting, please:
- Select one highlight applies to better understanding users.
- Explain what this highlight would help you understand further about users.
- Explain why you believe applying the highlight in P1 could improve the project outcome. Use a specific example.
Submission
Your instructor will have a print-out for completing the reading reflection on in your June 5 lecture. You will need to provide a print-out of the reading. Reading reflections must be completed in the lecture time.
Grading
This reading reflection is worth 5% (5 points) of your final grade.
- 0.5 points for submitting your reading with highlights as requested.
- 0.5 points for clearly citing which one highlighted portion of the text you are referring to.
- 1.5 points for clearly and concisely explaining what this highlight would help you understand further about users.
- 1.5 points for clearly and concisely explaining why applying this highlight could improve the project outcome.
- 1 points for providing a specific example when explaining why.
How reflections work
Just a reminder about how reflections work:
- You only need to complete two reflections over the term.
- There are six available.
- You may complete up to three reflections and the lowest grade will be dropped.
- AI use is not permitted in reflections.
