Reading reflections must be done in-person during lab times. Bring a print-out of the reading to lab if you choose to do the reflection.
While reading or after reading "The New Layout (Chapter 3)" (Andrew, 2017) please highlight sentences in the text that you believe are most relevant to the upcoming P3 or P4 projects.
Once done highlighting, please:
- Select one highlight that you believe is most relevant to the P4 project.
- Explain why you believe this highlight is most relevant.
- Explain how you would apply what the highlight describes to the upcoming project using a specific example.
Submission
Your TA will have a print-out for completing the reading reflection on in your November 12 lab. You will need to provide a print-out of the reading. Reading reflections must be completed in the lab time.
Grading
This reading reflection is worth 5% (5 points) of your final grade.
- 0.5 points for submitting your reading with highlights as requested.
- 0.5 points for clearly citing which two highlighted portions of the text you are referring to using a page or paragraph number (0.25 points per portion cited).
- 1.5 points for a concise and on-topic explanation of why you believe the highlight is most relevant.
- 1.5 point for a concise and on-topic explanation of how you would apply what the highlight describes to the project.
- 1 point for using a specific example of how you would apply what the highlight describes.
How reflections work
Just a reminder about how reflections work:
- You only need to complete two reflections over the term.
- There are four available.
- You may complete up to three reflections and the lowest grade will be dropped.
- AI use is not permitted in reflections.
