Instructions
While reading or after reading "Your Personal Design Language" (Hoang, 2023) please highlight sentences in the text that introduce knowledge or ideas that are new to you.
Once done highlighting, please:
- Select two highlights that introduce knowledge or ideas that are new to you.
- Explain how you could apply this highlights to the current P2: Layout project.
- Explain why you would apply this highlights to the current P2: Layout project.
Grading
This reading reflection is worth 5% (5 points) of your final grade.
- 0.5 points for submitting your reading with highlights as requested.
- 1 point for clearly citing which two highlighted portions of the text you are referring to by including a quote and/or indicating a page or paragraph number (0.5 points per portion cited).
- 1.5 points for an explanation of how each highlight selected could be applied to the current project (0.75 points per explanation).
- 2 points for an explanation of why you would apply each highlight to the current project (1 point per explanation).
Submission
Your responses can be submitted anytime before the end of your class time on Nov 6 in class.

Once done highlighting, please:
- State what you believe the author is claiming.
- Describe how the author makes and/or supports their claim with three examples.
Submission
Your responses can be submitted anytime before the end of lecture on Nov 6 to Andrew in class.
Grading
This reading reflection is worth 5% (5 points) of your final grade.
- 0.5 points for submitting your reading with highlights as requested above.
- 1.5 points for a clear, concise and appropriate statement of what the author is claiming.
- 3 points are given for three examples and descriptions of how the author makes and/or supports their claim (1 points per example and description). Examples use a standard citation format and indicating a page or paragraph number.
How reflections work
Just a reminder about how reflections work:
- You only need to complete two reflections over the term.
- There are four available.
- You may complete up to three reflections and the lowest grade will be dropped.
